This
program has been running since 2001, serving children aged 7.5
to 12 and adolescents aged 13-17. It has been set up as a
12 week time-limited program; school-year program; and intensive
summer program
Participants learn computer animation, digital video, simple web
design, raffle rewards, going out to eat, and data collection,
and parent support.
This teaches them
a variety of social skills, including: basic conversation,
impulse control, empathy and pragmatic
understanding, pedestrian safety, eating neatly, and using
good manners in public. |

This
program began 15 years ago and has been
run as an ongoing weekly or twice-monthly program.
Sessions generally last one hour and we currently meet in a
community setting (a restaurant).
Participants discuss ongoing issues, use computer technology,
have "adult-level" raffles, and learn about basic life issues.
Most clients who have participated in this group are diagnosed
with High Functioning Autism or Asperger's, ADHD, moderate to
severe learning disabilities |
