Analysis of student feedback data collected at the time of the final session
All ratings were generally extremely positive. The overall group of 9 children's responses, averaged across 25 factors relating to: 1) understanding what they were working on, 2) how they practiced, 3) feelings about the staff, activities, 4) how their behavior improved, and 5) whether they would wish to return was 4.34 out of a possible perfect score of 5.0 with a standard deviation of 0.98. When asked the single question of how much their behavior changed during group, 66% of students responded positively. Five out of 9 children gave the highest rating possible for this category. Eight out of 9 children indicated they would like to return (ironically, the one who "highly disagreed" with this statement has been attending the group for the past year and according to parent report, has made marked gains. Of the 3 children who did not rate their overall behavior change as significant (6, 8, and 9 above), 2 of them responded "Highly Agree" to the statement, "It was helpful for me to be in the group." Further, all of them indicated "Good" or "Excellent" in rating the group overall. Comments of what they liked best included:
